"I highly recommend Rodrigo as an exceptional guitar teacher. As a senior student, it was a lifelong dream to always learn how to play guitar. Initially I started out with another teacher, and it just didn’t work out. Then I found Rodrigo. Rodrigo has patience, encouragement, and a genuine passion for helping students grow. Rodrigo tailors each lesson to my skill level and how fast I can advance. He always challenges me but also shows how far I have come with work from our past lessons. This encouragement really helps you stay motivated and practice every day. I have been with Rodrigo over a year and enjoyed every lesson with him."

"I’d never even held a guitar before, and now, just 7 months later, I can play songs like Stand by Me and Blackbird by The Beatles. Rodrigo is incredibly patient and really knows his stuff. He’s super knowledgeable not just about music in general, but also the technical side, like scales, chords, tempo, you name it. His understanding of musical vocabulary is completely on point.
Honestly, I’d recommend him to any friends or family who want to learn guitar. Without a shadow of a doubt, you’ll be satisfied taking lessons with him. Take it from me, I’ll be sticking with lessons for as long as I can."

"I highly recommend Rodrigo for guitar lessons. He’s knowledgeable, he’s professional, he’s very patient, and he has sparked interest in music for me and my son and we really enjoy working with him and we hope you do too."

"I'm still having a ball!!!"

"Rodrigo is a very accommodating teacher who really helps me work toward my personal learning goals. The way he structures his lessons makes it easy for me to learn and focus on exactly what I want to pursue."

"We've all seen the ads... "Learn guitar in 30 days!" "Guitar Shredding Overnight!" "Guitar Hero on Steroids!" etc. ad nauseaum. You don't have to be 60 years old, restarting your climb up "Music Mt. Everest", to know these three important things. One, "There are no shortcuts to success." Two, "You must learn to be comfortable being uncomfortable." Three, "Learn to suck!" I found Rodrigo after I Googled "Berklee Guitar Proficiency System" and my music journey has never been the same. When Rodrigo started working with me, I couldn't even play a simple melody from memory on one or two strings! Now, I have a set list of 9, solo arrangements, complete with intros and outros, memorized and ready to perform.
My goal is a minimum of 50 tunes that I truly love and I am on my way! Four of those tunes actually are on Rodrigo's Recommended list of 43 songs you should arrange. Inside each song that you work on with Rodrigo's encouragement, instruction and feedback, you will be applying what you already know and learning what you need to know in order to make "Your" arrangement come to life and it will be truly yours forever, maturing, improving as you, yourself as a person and musician will. I strongly recommend as well as hope that you choose Rodrigo as your "Sherpa" in climbing "Music Mt. Everest", "Music With No Shortcuts" is the only shortcut to the summit and Rodrigo is the Music Sherpa that will guide you to it! K.W. Plymouth, Michigan
Rodrigo,
Attached is the appropriate pic of my first "paid" gig, so I can't call myself an amateur or hobbyist any longer, I am a growing musician!"
"I made my daughter cry and she saw me playing"
